About Southern Air
Southern Air was founded in 1946 as a residential heating company with just 15 employees. Inaugural President George Costan established a company culture focused on family values, trust and integrity. His leadership grew Southern Air into a full service design/build industrial, commercial and institutional contractor with more than 850 employees in Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
Today, Southern Air is proud to be one of the southeast’s leading mechanical and electrical contractors! Southern Air specializes in the design, installation and servicing of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems for buildings of all sizes. Southern Air is diversified, offering related services in piping, industrial maintenance, building automation systems, indoor air quality and water treatment associated with your heating and cooling systems.
